Restoration Hardware, Oxfordshire
The second we turned the corner into the grounds, it took our breath away!
Recently, I had the incredible opportunity to visit the new Restoration Hardware (RH) gallery at Aynho Park in Oxfordshire, and let me tell you, it was an experience I won't soon forget. As we drove into the estate, the sight of the magnificent 17th-century building took our breath away. The blend of historical elegance and modern luxury was palpable from the moment we set foot on the grounds.Every room we entered was a marvel of design and luxury. The lighting in each space was thoughtfully curated, creating an ambiance that was both inviting and awe-inspiring. The furnishings, true to RH's reputation, were absolutely stunning. Each piece seemed to tell a story, blending seamlessly into the grandeur of Aynho Park. The colour palette throughout the gallery was a sophisticated blend of neutral tones, accented with warm autumn hues and bold black accents. This choice of colors added a depth and richness to each room, making the spaces feel both modern and timeless.
One of the most breathtaking features was the array of dining options. The Orangery, with its live-fire cooking, offered an exquisite culinary experience. The dishes were not only delicious but also beautifully presented, making dining there a feast for the senses. The Loggia, an open-air restaurant and wine bar, was another highlight. Set against the backdrop of Capability Brown’s gorgeous gardens, it was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the estate. The Tea Salon and Wine Lounge provided a more intimate setting, ideal for a quiet afternoon or a sophisticated evening. The attention to detail in these spaces was remarkable, from the selection of teas and pastries in the Tea Salon to the curated wines in the Wine Lounge. And let's not forget the Architecture & Design Library and the Sir John Soane exhibition – these were not just visually stunning but also incredibly informative, offering a deep dive into the world of design and architecture.
isiting RH England at Aynho Park was more than just a shopping trip; it was an immersive experience that combined history, art, and modern luxury in a way that was both inspiring and unforgettable.
