The Future of Office Design: How TXTURED Creates Workspaces That Inspire
The way we work has changed, and so should the spaces we work in. A modern office is no longer just a place to sit at a desk—it’s an environment that influences productivity, creativity, and well-being. At TXTURED, we design high-end commercial interiors that bring style, function, and brand identity together to create inspiring workspaces.
One of our latest projects, the WeLet Properties head office in Manchester, is a perfect example of this shift in workplace design. The goal was to create a sophisticated yet functional space that reflects their brand and improves day-to-day operations. Here’s how we approached it and what every future-focused office needs in 2025.
What Makes a Modern Office Work?
Gone are the days of cold, corporate spaces with harsh lighting and uninspiring layouts. Today’s offices need to be:
✔ Brand-Led – A company’s identity should be felt the moment you walk in.
✔ Flexible – Spaces should accommodate different ways of working.
✔ Comfortable & Acoustic-Friendly – Employees perform better in environments with thoughtful lighting, soundproofing, and textures that create warmth.
✔ Aesthetic & Professional – First impressions matter for both staff and clients.
At WeLet Properties, we used these principles to redefine their office space, turning it into a flagship workspace that is contemporary, inviting, and highly functional.
Our Approach: A Workspace Designed for People
1. Reworking the Layout for Flow & Function
Before our redesign, the space was disjointed and noisy, with sound travelling across the office, creating distractions for the team. TXTURED developed new floor plans and spatial layouts to ensure better movement through the space while maintaining a sense of calm.
✔ Zoned areas for lettings and management were created using subtle colour changes in seating.
✔ A new bespoke seating area and boardroom were added to enhance client meetings.
✔ A thoughtfully placed client waiting area improves visitor experience.
2. A Fresh Take on Brand Identity
Rather than simply using corporate branding in artwork or signage, we embedded WeLet Properties' identity into the design itself.
✔ A Modern Colour Palette – We reinterpreted their signature deep red by using COAT Paints' ‘Northern Quarter’, a contemporary shade with a nod to Manchester’s heritage.
✔ Statement Signage – Backlit halo signs add a modern, high-end touch.
✔ Fluted glass partitions bring privacy while keeping an open, airy feel.
3. Materials & Textures That Feel Luxurious Yet Practical
One of the key challenges in office design is balancing durability with a refined aesthetic. We carefully selected materials that elevate the space while standing up to the demands of a busy workplace.
✔ Basket-weave flooring – A sleek, contemporary alternative to traditional herringbone.
✔ Oak beaded panelling – Adding warmth and a touch of luxury.
✔ Fluted glass boardroom walls – Combining privacy with light flow.
✔ Acoustic soundboarding – Strategically placed on the ceiling to control noise levels.
Each of these elements creates an office that feels high-end, professional, and uniquely TXTURED.
Why TXTURED’s Approach Stands Out in Commercial Interior Design
What makes this project special is the way it balances elegance and functionality. Many offices prioritise one over the other, but we believe in creating workspaces that do both effortlessly.
✔ It’s professional yet creative – The design reflects the company’s expertise while feeling inviting.
✔ It prioritises people – Acoustic solutions and zoned spaces ensure a better working environment.
✔ It has personality – The rich red accents, soft curves in seating, and fluted glass give it a distinct identity.
This isn’t just an office—it’s a space that enhances how people work.
